Challenge

Stephen's extensive portfolio of brand development, campaign execution, and extensive insights content on Youtube was undiscovered by his target market. While referrals and word of mouth brought clients, capturing more market share required broadening his digital footprint.

His existing website didn't capture his skills, experience, and insights at the level his work deserved. This meant working harder to share work with potential clients and slowing growth. The priority was twofold: improve Stephen's brand positioning by giving his expertise proper representation, and capture more of his target audience through organic growth.

Approach

I interviewed Stephen multiple times to understand his approach and experience. I conducted extensive competitor research, finding opportunities to position his expertise through strategic content pillars on his website.

I prioritized building a more effective content strategy because Stephen's experience and insights were clear. They were simply under-leveraged. By capturing what he was already doing more effectively, I was certain he'd gain market share.

To maximize efficiency, instead of designing from scratch, we found a Webflow template that captured Stephen's brand tone. Using this as a base, I edited the underlying design system and CSS classes before building out the database, key templates, and implementing SEO features.

This was a solo project. I led and delivered the website content strategy, page template design and build using the existing design system as a template, backend and CMS build, and all Google product implementation.
