How do you approach product work?

I start by understanding three things: the real user problem, the technical constraints, and the commercial objective. From there, we shape work into clear hypotheses, prioritise based on impact and feasibility, and build in a way that allows us to learn quickly. I've led initiatives that strengthened data foundations, experimentation capability, and revenue focused product growth. The consistent theme has always been to link user behaviour, technical decisions, and business outcomes in a way that made trade offs explicit.

How has AI changed the way you approach product?

AI has dramatically changed the practice of product work - but not its purpose. These days, the friction has been removed, meaning I can rapidly prototype and get things into the hands of users more quickly. However - it has lowered the bar to building mediocre things. A great product manager brings clarity to AI development. It is how we define a good strategy, experience, and outcomes. Crucially - it is also how we best leverage new systems, including giving AI engineers all the context and clarity they need to build to spec.

Do you only work on product strategy?

No - I cover strategy and execution too. That can include discovery, roadmapping, experimentation design, analytics implementation, website builds, or AI enabled workflows. The scope depends on what the business actually needs. For some teams that is embedded product leadership and for others it is delivering a technically sound, growth focused website that does not fall apart six months later.

What are you exploring right now?

I am building and testing new things constantly. Mostly around how AI reshapes the interfaces, workflows, and boundaries we have in product leadership and execution. I'm doing this through passion projects and side quests built with and on top of AI.

Engagements can be structured around a defined project, a shorter term intervention, a longer term partnership, or a full time fractional role. The format depends on stage and urgency. Early scaling teams often need embedded support for a period of time and others need focused work to solve a specific problem or bottleneck. Scope, outcomes, and responsibilities are defined up front so everyone understands what good looks like.
